The February 2023 design takes us back to the time of the Spanish Civil War and the Revolution. On February 14, 1937, the two-day constituent congress of the Aragonese Collective Federation (Federación de Colectividades de Aragón) began in Caspe, a small town in the province of Zaragoza. 24 so-called canton federations were represented. Together they represented a total of 275 villages with a total of 141,430 family members. Numerous resolutions on how the collectives should deal with each other were passed at the congress. One of the most important resolutions was the abolition of money within the collective association.

This month we were able to get doom folk musician and illustrator Conny Ochs to create the design. Conny was inspired by the abolition of money within the Federación de Colectividades de Aragón. For the design he chose a 1 peseta coin from the year of its founding in 1937. The coin disintegrates, becomes worthless, and makes way for nature. This makes its way through the middle of the coin in the form of a flower and grain, becoming a symbol of real growth or True Growth.
