T-Shirt Women The Revolution (Rosa Luxemburg)

Our January 2022 design is dedicated to the life of revolutionary socialist Rosa Luxemburg, who was murdered by right-wing paramilitaries in Germany in January 1919. The t-shirt comes with one of her most famous quotes, from an article she wrote just hours before her death, in which she responded to claims by the then-ruling Social Democrats that order had been restored in Berlin after a massacre of revolutionary workers:

“'Order prevails in Berlin!' You foolish lackeys! Your 'order' is built on sand. Tomorrow the revolution will 'rise up again, clashing its weapons,' and to your horror it will proclaim with trumpets blazing: I was, I am, I shall be!”

(Original text in German: "'Order reigns in Berlin!' You stupid minions! Your 'order' is built on sand. Tomorrow the revolution will 'rattle up again' and, to your horror, proclaim with the sound of a trumpet: I was, I am, I will be!" )

Please note on colours: Since every screen displays colours slightly differently and textiles may vary slightly depending on the batch and material, minor colour deviations between the product image and the delivered item are possible. This is completely normal when printing on fabric and does not constitute a defect.

Please note: If, in exceptional cases, your size or colour is not available, we reserve the right to send you an alternative organic textile of equivalent material quality from another Fair Wear Foundation member company.
